Farmer & Irwin has been selected by Coastal Construction to be the plumbing contractor for the Hilton Hotel adjacent to the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach. The convention center hotel is a public/private joint venture between Palm Beach County and the Related Companies. Construction began in May of 2014.

The $110 million, 13 story hotel will feature over 400 guest rooms, two ball rooms, eight conference rooms, and will also feature a 225-seat restaurant, bar, fitness center and landscaped pool area with cabanas.

Farmer & Irwin has extensive experience in high rise plumbing installation and design. A time-tested drainage system is being deployed for this project known as the Sovent® system. The Cast Iron Sovent® system is an engineered single stack drainage system that offers a cost savings in labor and material for the sanitary plumbing.

The project is being monitored by the Spinnaker Group a LEED consulting and commissioning firm. The expected completion date is December of 2015.
